About

After teaching high school mathematics at a small high school in Pine Bluff, Arkansas, for eleven years, my family and I moved to the Louisville area in July 2010.

Family

I’ve been married for 19 years and have three children:  Lindsey (age 15), Anna (12), and William (7).  My wife is also a high school teacher; she teaches science at Western High School.

Education

After graduating from high school in Louisiana, I attended Ouachita Baptist University in Arkadelphia, Arkansas, where I received a B.S. in mathematics in 1992 with a minor in physics.  I also completed a B.A. in biblical language.  After college, I attended Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in Louisville from 1992 to 1995.

Teaching Experience

I started teaching in January 2000 at St. Joseph Catholic School in Pine Bluff, Arkansas.  In eleven years at St. Joseph, I taught Algebra 1, Algebra 2, Geometry, Precalculus, AP Calculus AB, AP Physics B, and AP Computer Science A.  I also served as faculty advisor for yearbook publication.

Hobbies

I like to design websites, spend time with my kids, and watch Seinfeld.
