This year we’ll periodically use Moodle, an online courseware platform, to complete some of the assignments, lessons, and activities in this course. This week in class, we’ll discuss and walk through the steps necessary to create a Moodle account at waldenmoodle.com and enroll in this class through Moodle. (If you already created a Moodle account this summer to answer your Summer Reading discussion questions, you don’t need to create another account: continue using the same one.) You’ll also receive a course enrollment key in class this week, which you’ll use one time to complete the initial signup process.
You don’t need to check Moodle every single day to see if there are assignments or activities there: this is still a classroom-based, course, not an online course! Whenever there are items at Moodle that require your attention, I will clearly note and emphasize them in class. On the other hand: when there are items assigned through Moodle, I expect you to be able to access and complete them! So, if you have any troubles at all with the signup or login process, please see me so that we can get them resolved quickly.
